Get grant writing off your plate and still win those grants

Grant writers are a dime a dozen but great grant writers are worth their weight in gold. Instead of trying to find and hire a great grant writer, I’ll help you train someone from your team to successfully apply for and win grants.

Dear Executive Director,

Are you feeling like you’re missing out on funding because you can’t manage grant growth with all the other jobs you do?

Are you feeling overwhelmed and missing all those grant opportunities?

But there’s just no more time in the day?

Maybe you:

  • Tried to delegate, but it ends up being more work to your already full plate.
  • Are already responsible for so many functions just to keep the organization running day to day: managing a small team, running programs, administration, managing contractor relationships. Who has time for grants?
  • Feel like you are missing out on big funding because you can’t manage grants in-house. You are seeing opportunities pass you by but you don’t have the capacity to apply.
  • Want to build internal capacity for successful grant writing but don’t know where to start.

Your superstar grant writer is sitting right underneath your nose, they just need to be trained and guided to step into that role with confidence and most importantly, success!

Train Up Your Grant Writer is a 6-week cohort program to take internal staff (think… programming, administrative, operations) and train them up to be great grant writers, helping your organization win grants to grow your impact.

Free up your time as an Executive Director!

Ease the burden of managing someone to do the grants - let me take the work right off your shoulders.

Transform your organization with exponential funding growth.

Train Up Your Grant Writer™

I’m DeaRonda and I have worked at and consulted with numerous leading nonprofits as a grant professional and have 10 years of experience winning grant awards totaling $35M over the course of my career.

I help train grant writers to reduce burnout, turnover, and  provide ongoing support. I know and understand why quality grant professionals are leaving nonprofits in droves and I will properly train and onboard your grant writer especially those new to the industry as well as more seasoned professionals.

Since there is only so many hours in a day - and the demand is high for great grant writers, I’m working with Executive Directors to help them train their staff so they won't have to.

I’m a member of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) where I have served as Georgia Chapter President for two years. I have an MBA from Ashford University and Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious Tuskegee University.

Success Story

"After nearly ten years in this industry, I've learned the value of having someone to mentor and coach you through the journey of grant writing. When I started, all I had was Google and a prayer! And while this worked for a season, I truly believe that my growth and development as a grants professional skyrocketed when I rallied the support of other mentors in this space. Having DeaRonda guide and train your grant writer will help your organization navigate the grant process from start to finish. Her curriculum is also a tangible value add for your organization long after the cohort. I encourage you to check out TUYGW!"

Success Story

The grantwriting training sessions that I have had with DeaRonda Harrison have built my confidence in my ability to plan, prepare, and submit a federal grant for our organization. I felt very comfortable asking questions and was given thorough and relevent answers. I am eager to put the knowledge that I have gained of federal grantwriting and grant planning into practice.

Jennifer L, ArcGNO

What if my grant writer gets all this training and leaves the organization?

The only thing worse than training your employees and having them leave is not training them and having them stay. — Henry Ford, Founder, Ford Motor Company.--

But, You don't have to worry.

Your organization receives a copy of the Train Up Framework including video recordings from live training sessions,  swipe copy, research, boilerplate language, and all supplementary materials.

It all belongs to you so you can use it for new grant staff if necessary.

Just consider it your onboarding material for your grant staff.

IT IS YOURS FOREVER!!

This is a no-brainer to build your grants program to start raising over 6-figures a year in grant funding. Especially if you are:

  • Disruptive
  • A Game Changer
  • Typically don’t follow rules
  • Known to be Transformative

But… save your money if…

  • You are comfortable with the status quo
  • You don’t want to see exponential growth
  • You don’t want to invest in transforming your organization

Success Story

""Having written grants for nearly two decades, TUYGW would have saved me so much heartache and headache if I had it when I first started. When I first started in grants, I didn't know if what I was doing was right and I definitely did not understand grant lingo i.e. prospect research and qualifying a funder. By using time-saving techniques and methods, TUYGW will help you raise funds for your nonprofit by building your knowledge and confidence and setting yourself up for grant awards much more quickly. I could not recommend this program enough.
