How much does it cost?

Hiring June First Firm for retainer (ongoing) grant writing support starts at $5,500+ per month. There are no additional or hidden costs. Contracts range from 6-12 months. The awesome benefit for our retainer clients is they are not limited to the number of hours because guess what - we do not track hours! That's right - we focus on deliverables and outcomes.

Why should my nonprofit retain a grant writer vs hiring a staff member?

Our first recommendation will be to hire an in house full-time grant writer if your nonprofit has the ability to do so. However, nonprofits that retain our grant writing services are looking for professional level expertise with immediate results at a lower cost than hiring in-house staff. Will your services work for my nonprofit?

Although we cannot guarantee results because June First Firm is not the grant awarding agency, we provide a dedicated grants plan and strategy as detailed in the proposal sent to you. June First Firm has a signature retainer combination package so that our clients can win grants and get new funding as soon as possible. For instance, for clients that pay $5k per month or $60k per year, they can anticipate at least $120k in grant awards when contracting with June First Firm. All of our clients have experienced at least a 2x return on their investment (some much more)!

Can my nonprofit pay for services from the grant award?

June First Firm does not receive payment for services from the grant award. The most reputable grant professionals will NOT accept payment from the grant award as those funds are designed to fund the project described. Also, June First Firm follows the standards of the Grant Professionals Association Code of Ethics.

How do you work with nonprofits?

June First Firm takes grant writing projects from start to finish to create the needs assessment, project details, objectives, and evaluation etc. Once the proposal is written, you will receive it for your review. After you make any necessary corrections, a final package is prepared for submission.

How do you research new funding opportunities for nonprofits?

June First Firm uses a multi-pronged approach to conduct a funding landscape analysis to determine the perfect fit for your organization. There are multiple subscriptions used for grant research, including GrantStation and Foundation Directory. Through our targeted 990 searches and access to philanthropy digest alerts, our clients gain a comprehensive list of new potential funding partners.

Do you provide grant writing services for small businesses?
